Remi
has been in the insurance industry for over 40 years. Between
1965 and 1968 he studied at the Catford College of Commerce
and Holborn College of Law and Commerce, London. He has worked
with Royal Exchange Assurance, Pearl Assurance Company Ltd,
London, Guinea Insurance Company Ltd and Great Nigeria Insurance
Company Ltd where he rose from the position of Claims Superintendent
in 1968 to Deputy Managing Director in 1980.
He
was the Managing Director of Globe Reinsurance Company Ltd from
1987 to 1995, and was elected in 1995 as the Executive Vice
Chairman - a position he holds till date.
An
Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute, London, Otunba
Ajomale is also a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute
of Nigeria and a member of the Nigerian Institute of Nigeria
and a member of the Institute of Management. He is a member
of the Board of Fellows of the Insurance Educators Agency of
the African Insurance Organization (AIO). He is also the President
of the Professional Reinsurers Association of Nigeria (PRAN).
He was formerly the Assistant Secretary-General and Executive
Committee member of the West African Insurance Companies Association
(WAICA), and a member of the WAICA Editorial Board and also
the 1984/85, President of the Chartered Insurance Institute
of Nigeria.
