Gbenga is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of London.

He started his insurance career in 1977 with UNIC Plc. He joined Sun Insurance Nigeria Plc in 1979 and worked in virtually all the technical departments including the branches of the company.

He has attended several courses on Insurance Underwriting, Marketing and Claims. He resigned after working for 17 years with Sun Insurance and joined Metropolitan Trust Insurance Company Limited in April 1996 as Controller (Underwriting).

He was promoted to the position of Assistant General Manager (Technical) in April 1999 and appointed General Manager/CEO on 10th September, 2001.

He resigned from Metropolitan Trust Insurance Company to join Claims International Limited as General Manager.
