DIRECTOR
Ope
has been in the Insurance Industry for over 35 years.
He attended the College of Insurance, Surbiton,
Surrey and Ashridge Management College, Berkarmsted.
He
qualified as an Associate of the Chartered Insurance
Institute of London in 1973 and in 1995 he was elected
Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria.
Ope
is presently the Managing Director and Chief Executive
Officer of African Alliance Insurance Company Limited.
He
is the first President of the Chartered Insurance
Institute of Nigeria to serve two terms tenure (1994
to 1996). He is a member of the Insurance Consultative
Committee on AIDS (Nigeria), West African Insurance
Companies Association (WAICA) and the West African
Insurance Institute, Gambia. He is a member of the
Institute of Directors (Nigeria), and has passed
through the Lagos Business School .
He
has received an award for his contribution to the
development of Insurance in Africa by the African
Insurance Organization (AIO). His publications include
“Agency and Claims Consideration as related
to Life Assurance Operations”, “The
Law and Practice of Life Assurance in Nigeria”,
Life Assurance in West Africa”, “Problems
of Life Assurance Claims Settlement” and “Out
of Africa – Life Assurance Claims”.
